Whether you are seeking therapy for a temporary or long-term concern, are in a crisis, or want to check in periodically to stay on the life path you have chosen, finding a therapist you connect with can seem challenging. I believe in working together to foster a relationship that is safe, and collaborative, and allows you to work towards the goals you have for therapy. I believe you are the expert in your own life and that you are seeking help in building the life you want to live.

About Me

I am a Master's of Addiction Counselor (MAC) through the National Certification Commission for Addiction Professionals (NCCAP) and have a passion for helping clients who are struggling with substance use, exploring the role they want substances to play in their life, and might be moving towards, or are in recovery.

I have completed the Dialectical Behavior Training (DBT) Intensive Training through the Linehan Behavioral Tech Institute. I was also chosen through Colorado State University to provide mental health services for the Semester at Sea Fall 2017 voyage.

With over 16 years of experience, I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) which includes assessing clients' needs, situations, strengths, and support networks to determine their goals and developing plans to improve their well-being. I also help adjust to changes and challenges in their lives, such as trauma, divorce, anxiety, and depression.

My areas of expertise include substance use, recovery, emotion dysregulation, divorces, parenting, trauma, grief, life transitions, and depression.

Drawing on techniques from various models of therapy I include a strengths bases perspective where individuals are valued and respected for their ability to survive and adapt and there is a sense of hope regarding each person's capacity to continue to learn and develop over time in a relationship with others.
